Flights to Sofia Airport

Sofia International Airport has come a long way from the grim looking, communist remnant which it used to be until the early 2000s. Keeping up with the modernization of Bulgaria, a new terminal (Terminal 2) was completed and opened in December 2006. Two bus routes connect the airport to the city centre and travel by bus takes about 20 minutes. There is also a bus and shuttle link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2.
With the new Terminal began a new era for the Sofia Airport. As the main, largest and most technologically advanced airport in Bulgaria, it accommodated more than twice the number of passengers in comparison to the early 2000s, reaching 2 746 178 passengers in 2007.  Among some of the airlines which arrive and depart from the airport are:
